Like many who pursue the life of an artist, we sometimes get distracted or forced in different directions because of various challenges. I’ve been so blessed to have found my way back each time when such struggles have surfaced. The road can be wearisome and an abundance of patience is required, but I feel as though my hard work (the building of my personal portfolio of scripts and films) is now opening up opportunities.
With my screenwriting talents and several completed scripts in hand, I am now on my chosen path, guided by intense passion, fearless tenacity and an unwavering persistence. It’s exciting to make that leap of faith toward the anticipation that my larger works (specifically my feature scripts and TV series) could soon find their way into development deals and eventual production.
A leap of faith is necessary for every dreamer and with my leap off the edge of this cliff, I will soar toward fulfilling my heart's dream, which hopefully has me landing safely atop the Hollywood sign.
Wish me luck!
Cheers, VG

Vincent J. Genuardi - In his own words...
When I was 7 my grandmother asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I said, "I want to be an actor!"
Now as an adult, the desire to be in the film industry has only grown stronger. However, that passion has surfaced through my love of writing. Looking back, I can see that it actually stems all the way to creative writing time in grade school.
It never occurred to me for the longest time that my constant daydreaming was actually a necessary part of a calling that has been with me always. It’s more clear than ever that my imagination has fueled so many vastly interesting worlds that they were meant to be shared with the masses, allowing others to experience story through my own unique voice and vision.
Although there are so many influences and those I most admire in film, from Alfred Hitchcock to Charlie Kaufman, from Rod Serling to Vince Gilligan, I have always held a special place for two of the greatest of all time; Martin Scorsese and Quentin Tarantino. I think we all need to carry our heroes in our hearts when we pursue great dreams and their amazing work always inspires.
I began my journey into the world of filmmaking at Ryerson University in Toronto. Since that time I have built a resume of film experience, both in working on production sets and undertaking my own projects.
I’ve been extremely fortunate in my pursuit as a filmmaker to find amazing teachers and mentors who have supported and encouraged me along my journey. It’s the most incredible feeling when you receive validation for your talents and that is indeed a significant driving force behind my determination to succeed. I am eternally grateful to my screenwriting instructors, story editors and valued relationships I’ve formed with wonderful people in the film industry thus far. There’s nothing better than doing what you love with people that you love.
Me and Al Pacino. It would be a dream come true to direct Al Pacino in one of my screenplays. He was so gracious and humble when I met him. This is a photo I will indeed cherish.

This is as close to the Hollywood Sign that I've gotten so far.
